The Naiad is moored in a one of the southern coves off Shackle Isle. This time I’ve actually got a crew of sort. A cat, a monkey, a tree, a gnome, a devout priestess and of course Nina the Elf….
The crew has gone ahead up a path to some temple or another to some God. All really boring stuff really, but supposedly there is a priestess up at the temple, a younger one. Not too young of course. Her name is Claire, I’ve already got a picture in my mind of what she looks like. I am hoping she caught of glimpse of me swimming earlier, that might make things easier for later.
I’ve got to do most of the sailing, but Caoimhe the priestess is starting to pick it up. A fine Lady with fine morals, but I sometimes- after four days out in sea and looking at the back-side of an Ent, I wonder what Caoimhe looked like in her younger years. Sam’s done a brilliant job learning how to fish, but he keeps talking about some fishing apparatus he’s put together to catch more fish. There is something especially unattractive about Gnomes but they are uniquely distinct. I’ve never been with a Gnome gal before and I don’t think Sam has either. I am not sure what to make of Erwin the cat, he talks a lot for a cat… and a human as well. I’ve gotta ask him if he has got any magic that enlarges body parts, not that I really need it, but you can never be too big. The Tree, I mean Shen the Ent has really come in handy, she super strong and scary without meaning to be. Always good to have her as part of the crew. But I’ve still gotta ask her how Ents do it, is it more like the way humans do it or the way trees do it…. I am sure I will eventually find out. I leave Nina to the end because she is the mysterious Elvin lady, a beauty really, but all clammed up right now. I’ve gotta work on her a little to just let go and come for a swim with me.
